Marbled Peacock Ginger
Kaempferia Pulchra ‘Marble Variegata’
The Kaempferia Pulchra ‘Marble Variegata’, also known as Marbled Peacock Ginger, is a truly unique foliage plant.
Its broad leaves are beautifully marbled with splashes of cream, and green. Compact and low growing, it’s a rare treasure that adds colour and intrigue to any plant collection.
✨ Why we love it:
🌱 Striking marbled leaves with cream, and green patterns
🌱 Rich undersides for a dramatic two tone effect
🌱 Compact and low growing, perfect for shelves, desks, or terrariums
🌱 A rare collector’s plant
🌱 Adds a tropical, exotic vibe to any indoor jungle
💡 Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Too much direct sun can scorch its patterned leaves, while low light may reduce the vibrancy of its marbling.
💧 Water: Keep soil consistently moist but never waterlogged. Allow the top 1-2 cm to dry slightly between waterings.
🌱 Humidity: Thrives in higher humidity. Mist occasionally, or place in a terrarium or alongside other humidity loving plants.
🌡️ Temperature: Loves warmth, ideally 18-28 °C. Keep away from cold draughts and avoid sudden temperature changes.
🚫 Toxicity: Generally considered non toxic, but best kept out of reach of pets and children just in case.
🌿 Top Tip: This plant has a natural dormancy period, don’t panic if the foliage dies back. Simply reduce watering and wait, fresh marbled leaves will return when the growing season kicks in again.
