Hey! I’m Nath, the plant obsessed human behind Oh Shoot Plants an independent indoor plant and houseplant shop based in Congleton, Cheshire. And this little pupper is Dougie, our Chief Barketing Officer and professional trip hazard.

What started with me killing spider plants 12 years ago, has somehow turned into a full blown leafy dream. We’re a small but mighty team, fuelled by caffeine, chaos, and your endless support. Dougie handles bark breaks. I handle the watering can.

After over 12 years of full on plant obsession, I realised my job wasn’t fulfilling me, not in the way plants did. I could see there was a gap in the market for a plant shop that actually cared and did things differently. One that didn’t just sell overpriced “easy care” plants, only for them to shrivel up and die a week later in their new home.

We wanted to create a houseplant shop in Congleton that people could trust, whether you’re brand new to indoor plants or building a rare collector jungle.

Since then, we’ve bloomed from rainy market stalls to our very own indoor jungle store in Congleton, with hundreds of thriving plants and a buzzing community of over 4,500 plant lovers worldwide.

We’ve built beautiful friendships with other small businesses who’ve had our back since day one.

We now host numerous hands on workshops, stock natural handmade goodies, and are launching our very own In The Jungle Podcast packed with plant care tips, hilarious fails, and stories behind the leaves.

We don’t just sell plants, we teach people how to keep them alive. From beginner friendly Plant Club sessions to home visits and walk in pest and health clinics, we support every step of your plant journey.

We turned a Grade II listed hair salon into a jungle oasis in just four wild weeks.
One flooded boiler. Five flat pack meltdowns. Too many takeaway rum punches from Bench next door but one. With grit, caffeine, and good vibes, our dream space came to life.

Every plant is carefully acclimated, health checked, and preventatively pest treated before they hit the shop floor. We leave no leaf unturned.

For every plant sold, in store or online we donate to a tree planting scheme.
