Keep sensitive tropical plants away from very cold glass and move them slightly further into the room if the sill becomes too cold.
How Wide Does a Windowsill Need to Be for a Plant? +
There is no single minimum width, but the pot should sit securely without being easy to knock or hanging dangerously over the edge.
Check the pot diameter as well as the spread of the foliage, especially if you still need to open curtains, blinds or the window itself.
