Shopping independently has a much bigger impact than what ends up in your bag.
Where we can, we love working with independent makers, local businesses and specialist brands whose products genuinely fit the Oh Shoot! Jungle.
It means our customers can discover businesses they might never have come across otherwise, while keeping the shop full of things that feel interesting, useful and different.
These are not random products added just to fill space.

COFFEE IN THE JUNGLE
You can’t call yourself Coffee in the Jungle and then serve disappointing coffee.
That’s why our coffee comes from Beartown Coffee Company, with speciality coffee roasted right here in Congleton.
It keeps the coffee side of Oh Shoot! properly local too, served surrounded by hundreds of houseplants just a short distance from where the beans were roasted.
Whether you’re grabbing a drink while plant shopping or coming in purely for coffee, Beartown sits right at the heart of Coffee in the Jungle.

The Jungle isn’t only for plant people.
Finns Journey brings a brilliant range of products for our four legged visitors, including treats, toys and canine care products available right here at Oh Shoot!.
We’re proudly dog friendly, so it made perfect sense to have something in the Jungle for the shopping assistants who come through the door on four paws.
Come in with the dog, let them have a browse too and try not to let them convince you they need absolutely everything.

FAMILIES IN THE JUNGLE
The Jungle isn’t just for grown up plant people.
We’re working with Holly from Hartbeeps to bring baby sensory, baby massage and baby yoga sessions into the Oh Shoot! Jungle.
The idea is to create relaxed experiences for little ones and their grown ups surrounded by greenery.
Something welcoming, social and considerably leafier than the average class space.

Spiky Carrot creates opportunities for independent businesses to become more visible, meet other local business owners and grow together. Its local Patch and Carrot Club bring people and businesses into the same conversation.

Visyon is a local charity supporting children, young people and families with their mental health and emotional wellbeing. Its services are free, and families can contact Visyon directly without a referral from a school or doctor.

Oh Shoot! and Holly are working together on Little Grow Gang, a hands on children’s plant and nature club designed to get little ones away from screens and interacting with the natural world.
Soil, bark, moss, planting, edible plants, sunflowers and learning how to look after their own little plant pals.

We’re also working together to bring Plant & Pottering sessions into care homes and supported settings.
These relaxed plant based sessions are designed for adults living with dementia and learning difficulties, creating opportunities to get hands on with plants in an accessible and enjoyable way.
